Our Story

Anita’s experience as an educator and advisor dates back over three decades. She has taught and led teams in leading international schools in Mumbai and is responsible for leading our teacher recruitment and teacher training.

Chirag is a Computer Engineering graduate from Georgia Tech and was the recipient of the 2009 Georgia Tech Leader of the Year award. Post graduation, he helped large US companies implement new systems as a part of Deloitte Consulting. He also founded companies such as PaperVideo, Mosaic, and iChef. At AP Guru, Chirag creates curriculum and mentors students with test specific strategies. 

Sneha graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with dual degrees in Actuarial Science and Business Honours. At AP Guru, she focuses on employing digital-age learning to enhance standardized test preparation instruction and create personalized learning experiences for every student.‍

Sagar has a master’s degree in Math and Statistics. He is a passionate teacher who has been actively teaching since the age of 14. He has more than 16 years of experience in teaching SAT/ACT, AP Calculus, AP Statistics, and IB Math. He holds a leadership position at AP Guru and is responsible for teacher recruitment and training, among other things at AP Guru.‍

Shubha graduated with an Honors in Cell and Molecular Biology from Brown University. After graduating, she worked in her family business for a few years before discovering her passion for teaching and mentoring young students. Shubha believes in developing a strong bond with each of her students to guide and inspire them to achieve their maximum potential.‍

Rohan completed his master’s in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University. Post graduation, he worked in diverse roles such as consulting and full stack developer. He has co-founded Bloombench, an online LIVE learning platform to learn computer programming online in an interactive and personalized manner. Rohan teaches IB and AP Computer Science at AP Guru.

A passionate teacher, Gauri has been teaching SAT and ACT English for 12 years. She holds an MA in English language and literature and an MPhil in English literature (British and Commonwealth) from Pune University. She intends to start working on her Ph.D. in English Language soon.

Matthew is an educator with over 9 years of test preparation teaching and tutoring experience, as well as top-notch interpersonal and communication skills. He has been teaching the verbal sections of the SAT since 2010. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.

Nick has been an academic and test prep tutor for 9 years. He graduated from UC Berkeley with dual degrees in English Literature and Economic Analysis. During his junior year, Nick studied at the University of Cambridge, where he intensified his studies of English texts and economic theory. When not teaching, Nick is found playing pick-up basketball or watching the latest HBO series.

Chris is a graduate of Harvard University and works in educational content development, producing SAT practice material and study guides for various subjects.

Aakash has an engineering degree from Pune University and has conducted research at IIT Mumbai. He is a full-time passionate tutor, specializing in AP, IB, A-Levels, University-Levels Math and Physics courses along with SAT, ACT, and AMC Tests.

Georgy has completed his masters in English with a focus on Literary and Cultural Studies. He pursued PhD in Literary and Cultural studies from the Centre for Studies in Social Sciences. He teaches AP, IB, IGCSE, SAT, ACT, and GMAT.

Sona is an English teacher with a Bachelor's Degree in English from Calcutta University. She holds a B.Ed. in English and a Master's in History. She has completed several certificate programs online from UC Berkeley on Shakespeare and Jane Austen. She has extensive experience in teaching English for the IGCSE and the IB curriculum, along with the Verbal Ability Sections of the SAT, AP, GMAT, and ACT.

Ellen Valladares is an award-winning author and freelance writer. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Florida and has been professionally writing and editing for over 30 years. 

Karan has a Master's degree in Math from Mumbai University. He has over 10 years of experience preparing students for professional and entrance exams. His focus areas are Mathematics and Statistics. He likes to decode abstract concepts with easy-to-understand examples. In the words of Einstein, “If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.”

Rahul pursued his M.Sc. in microbiology from Mumbai University, and he has been teaching chemistry for more than 12 years. He has taught students from around the world in higher level chemistry for IB, AP, A Level, and university students.

Anoushka graduated from FLAME University, Pune, with a degree in Literary & Cultural Studies and Theatre. She has contributed to reputed print and digital publications such as The Hindu, Condé Nast Traveler India, and The Culture Trip. An emerging writer, she is skilled in shaping personal narratives and editing pieces of writing for ideas, structure, and clarity.‍

Aarif has a Mechanical Engineering degree and a Master’s in education from Mumbai University. He has more than 12 years of experience helping students prepare for Mathematics in professional and entrance exams.

Shreemayee is a content writer and editor who has been featured by leading publications like  Firstpost, The Telegraph, and other publications. As a content writer, she is skilled in shaping personal narratives and editing pieces of writing for ideas, structure, and clarity.‍

Arpit completed his M.Tech in 2018 at VJTI, Mumbai, and conducted research at IIT, Mumbai. In the past 8 years, Arpit has taught Math to students for IB, AP, A level, GCSE &IGCSE, Math Olympiads, SAT, and ACT. He has always focused on adapting with time and providing all the help and support needed to students to achieve the best in their academic careers.

Azim is a passionate Math teacher with 14 years of experience. He teaches SAT, ACT, AP Calculus, IB, and A-level classes.

He aims to cultivate a deep understanding and appreciation for the subject among students and create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and fosters a growth mindset.

Shuchita is a specialised Faculty of Economics with 10 years of Teaching experience at Delhi University. She is an economics graduate from Delhi University, has an MBA in finance, and is a certified soft skills trainer from the National Skills Institute of India. Her teaching style is interactive, gives individual attention, and focuses on the child's growth.

Vishak is a passionate and dedicated Math teacher with 14 years of experience. He holds a Masters in Math and Statistics from IIT Guwahati. He also has 6 years of experience in SAT, ACT, AP Calculus, IB, and A-level classes. He provides individualized support and guidance, offering extra help and resources to students who require additional assistance. 

A postgraduate in Mathematics from Delhi University, Shreya has qualified NET, CTET and GATE in Mathematics. She also has B.Ed degree and have worked as an Assistant Professor for 10 years. A seasoned coach for IB Board and SAT/ACT/AP classes, Shreya is a passionate and dedicated teacher. She loves to guide students and help them grow their critical thinking abilities to achieve success through life.

After completing engineering from NIT Warangal in Electrical and Electronics, Naveen joined the coaching industry as a Subject Matter Expert in Physics. He has put his experiential knowledge into leveraging students for these exams. In the last 4 years of his teaching experience, he has mentored hundreds of students for their competitive exams and assisted IB, AP, IGCSE, and A-level students.

Kavita is a practising MD with over 14 years of clinical and teaching experience. She teaches biology for AP, IB, GCSE, and other boards. She also tutors medical and pre-medical students in basic medical sciences. She enjoys one-on-one tutoring the most as it allows for an individualistic and innovative approach to the subject.

J.S. has a degree in Education and completed his TESOL Certification from Arizona State University. J.S. has a master's degree in Psychology and has been a professional K12 teacher providing teaching, mentorship, and corrective guidance in English. He has 14 years of experience teaching the ICSE, IGCSE, and IB Curriculums and mentoring students for reasoning examinations such as SAT and ACT.

Ashima is a passionate and dedicated facilitator with a profound love for the English language. With years of experience in the field, she possesses a deep understanding of the subject. She seeks to employ innovative and interactive teaching methods, creating an engaging learning environment that promotes active participation and fosters a flair for learning.

Bhanu has a Masters in Engineering from Mumbai university.

She is Confident, Versatile and energetic teacher. With 8 years of teaching experience in coding and other areas, she tries to impart skills to students. She has a flexible style of teaching. Her subject expertise includes technical as well as non-technical subjects. Teaching is her Passion and she makes sure to justify it well.

Konika, a professional online tutor, has more than 5 years of experience in developing and delivering Test-Prep programs (SAT, ACT, PSAT, LSAT, GMAT) for learners across India, USA, UK, Canada and Dubai.

Manish holds a B Tech in Civil Engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological University (VJTI). Having Structural Designing Experience, he teaches concepts easily with practical applications & real-life relevancy to students. He enjoys teaching math across various curricula – SAT, ACT, AP, GCSE, A-Level, IB, and IITJEE. He wants to create an impact on the learning journey of students by inculcating a love for creative problem solving.

Pratik is an educator who has an experience of more than seven years, teaching the verbal section of various competitive exams. His students have been of various ages and educational backgrounds. He is also a freelance content writer and editor.

With more than 7 years of experience in teaching Mathematics, Simran has established herself as a leader in this domain.  

After graduating, with honors, from the prestigious Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi, and earning her post-graduation, in honors, from the prestigious Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, she is leading to expand her forte in Mathematics by imparting education across the globe.

Swapnali has more than 5 years of teaching experience in Math. She has an Master’s degree in mathematics and is an expert in teaching Mathematics from grade 6 to12. She has also helped students achieve their scores exams like PSAT, SAT, ACT. Her classes are engaging She always believes in dialogue instead of monologue which establishes great interaction with student. This helps in making learning fun and a supportive learning environment

Hemakshi has done her MA in Psychology from Panjab University with a specialisation in Positive Psychology and Research Methodology. She is a dedicated learner and works to make her lessons engaging and interesting for her students.

Laksh has a master’s degree in Economics. He is a dynamic teacher with more than 8 years of experience in teaching AP Economics, IB Economics, AS and A-levels, IGCSE along with CBSE, ISCE and ISC. He is passionate about helping students by adopting a coherent, supportive, and engaging teaching approach to equip them with the necessary skills on a transformative educational journey towards academic excellence.

Avinash is a Physics educator committed to empowering students through education. With 3 years of expertise in IB, AP, SAT, NEET, and JEE Physics, he is passionate about helping students by adopting a coherent, supportive, and engaging teaching approach to equip students with the necessary skills on a transformative educational journey towards academic excellence.

Eman has done her Bachelor's in English and Psychology. She is currently pursuing her MA in Music Education from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, London, and has studied the learning patterns of students in depth and molded her teaching accordingly. She has 4 years of teaching experience, with students ranging from ages 6 to 50, and is brilliant in working with students with special needs.

With 11 years of experience in teaching and e-learning, Preeti has immense experience in tutoring and grooming students from various international boards like IB, AP and IGCSE. She has acquired her M.Sc with B.Ed and works towards the overall development of students.

A postgraduate in Physics, Bibhusit has been a passionate researcher and educationist. He has been a part of various astrophysics research projects at ARIES, IISc and RRI. He is an accomplished teacher for students pursuing AP Physics, A Levels, IB, SAT, ACT, AP Calculus AB and BC. He also has 5+ years of online teaching experience.

Maharnab has pursued B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Roorkee and has over 5 years of teaching experience. He specializes in Maths and Physics for JEE, AP, IB, IGCSE, MYP, A-levels and SAT.

Angelica is a French Language Expert (DELF B2 certified in French) who is passionate about teaching this beautiful language and its cultural nuances to students of all boards. She works at an MNC as a French Translator and feels that her in-depth knowledge of French can make learning this foreign language very simple for learners of all ages.

A dedicated educator with an unwavering passion for the realm of History, Radhika believes in shaping eager minds into lifelong learners, and is convinced that the fusion of pedagogy and history is the key to nurturing great scholars. With over a decade of teaching experience, the teacher is currently an IBDP History & MYP I&S Faculty with an International school. She has always placed the student at the heart of the learning journey, surpassing the boundaries of a standard curriculum. Radhika is a graduate from Miranda House, Delhi University and a post graduate in History and Tourism Management.

A B.Tech in mechanical Engineering from IIT Roorkee, Royal is passionate about finding out basic rules that govern phenomena on large scale. The excitement of deducing complex problems from these simple rules drives him. Competitive exams provide the excitement of finding new challenges in the world of Physics. Therefore, guiding students to excellence is not just a job but a zealous exercise for Royal.

A chemical engineer from Institute of Chemical Technology, Maurine has turned to into an experienced Chemistry tutor with more than 6 years of experience helping students crack competitive exams like JEE and NEET, and for boards like IGCSE and IB. Her main focus is to build the foundation and to develop problem solving skills in chemistry.

With a Master's degree in Public Policy from Mount Carmel College, Bengaluru, Malya is a passionate educator with profound love for the English and Economics. Vaishalee graduated from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Tirupati with a BSMS specialized in Mathematics. She has mentored students for various competitive exams and believes in exploring math by simplifying intricate problems into simpler ones.

With a rich teaching history spanning over 6 years, Sheeza brings a wealth of expertise to the field of biology. Holding a masters degree in Botany and currently engrossed in the captivating realm of pharmacognosy research,she is a passionate educator dedicated to imparting knowledge to students of all levels.
Her fervor for teaching extends to a diverse range of students, from those embarking on their premedical journeys to individuals tackling biology at the AP, IB, A-Level, and GCSE tiers. The mission is clear: to make this biology accessible, engaging, and inspirational for every student.

With years of experience in teaching Maths to students from various boards, Hrishikesh enjoys the challenge in developing skills for critical thinking and problem solving within his students. A creative content developer for Maths, Hrishikesh has designed and integrated lesson plans based on the K-12 curriculum, IB, AP Calculus, SAT, ACT, and High School Math for US Curriculum. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Science and Maths from University of Gorakhpur, and have been teaching students from IGCSE, UK and US curriculum for more than 15 years.

Nikita has been working as a teacher, trainer and professor for more than 13 years in Indore. She has acquired her graduation degree in commerce stream and has also gained CA-IPCC. She is presently pursuing her CA Finals. She would soon join the B.Ed qualified teachers group. Her experience includes teaching in renowned institutions that have IB, A Level and IGCSE students.

A software developer by profession, Arunava has over six years of teaching experience in computer science. He develops the interest of the students by making complex concepts accessible and developing an interest in knowing the intricacies of technology. According to him, by day he is a code developer and by night, he is the inspiration for next generation of programmers.

Devyani has a PhD in Geography from Banaras Hindu University and has over 18 years of teaching experience with the undergraduate and school students in leading edtech firms and schools along with tuitions. Also, she has a rich experience in curriculum planning and pedagogy development for various boards . Presently she is teaching Human Geography at AP Guru.

Bodhisatya is a graduate in English and holds two post graduate diplomas in Creative Writing and PGDBA in CRM from Symbiosis, Pune. A TESOL/ TEFL certified English Language Trainer from the Asian College of Teachers, he has specialized in YLTT (Young Learners Teachers Training Program) and BETT (Business English Teachers Training Program). Added to these, he also has successfully completed the TESOL Canada Board examination (TCBE) .

Being a certified IELTS trainer, Bodhisatya has been teaching and grooming children of various grades and boards from across the globe, for the past 4.5 years.

Sadia is a dedicated, resourceful and goal-driven educator with a solid commitment to the social and academic growth and development of every student.She has been a high school teacher for more than 10 years now. She has a post graduate degree in social sciences with a formal teacher training.

Mrs Shalu has a M.sc and M. Tech in Environmental Sciences and Bachelors in Education. Shalu is a very dedicated and goal driven professional educator who has immense passion for teaching. She has years of experience teaching courses linked to Environmental Sciences including IGCSE, AP, and IB.

A Ph.D. in Computer Science from Punjabi University, Patiala, Dr. Kamal has over eleven years of teaching experience in Computer Science Engineering. He loves coding and train students for various placement exams. His core subject includes C, C++, Java, Python, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Structures. He believes in the overall development of students which also includes curiosity, and vision.

With 5 years of active teaching experience, Prakhar is specialised in a variety of Mathematics curriculum pertaining to senior secondary and higher education. He is currently pursuing Masters degree in Mathematics and already have Bachelor and B.Ed certificates. Prakhar has adopted a coherent, supportive and engaging teaching approach for overall development of his students over years now.

In the realm of programming education, Suman KD, is an experienced instructor who specializes in imparting knowledge of C, C++, Core JAVA, and Python. With a career dedicated to bridging theoretical concepts with practical applications, he caters to a diverse audience, ranging from students to corporate professionals. He envisions a paradigm shift in education, emphasizing independent thinking and purpose discovery. In addition to his programming expertise, he values collaborative efforts and actively seeks recommended resources to elevate the quality of training programs.

Srividhya completed MCA from Osmania University and worked in a software firm for three years as a software tester and developer. Post that she had been working in schools teaching computer science for 14 years. She has taught students from various boards that include IGCSE and other international students.

Harshita is a post graduate from IIT Delhi. She holds commendable ranks in IIT JAM and GATE Chemistry. The teacher has not only been teaching students since more than 3 years, she has also been developing interest of the students in her subject on both online and offline mode.

Jagruti graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi, and pursued her Master’s at SNDT University, Mumbai. She is passionate about language and its nuances, and her knowledge in the field of language teaching and learning allows her to efficiently assess the areas that a student requires more focus in.

Mahak's passion for languages has helped her to become C1 certified in spanish from Instituto Cervantes de Nueva Delhi. She is a dedicated teacher with 2 years of experience in teaching. She has taught batches as well as has given one-on-one classes to people of all age groups.

Apoorva holds a doctorate degree from Bangalore University in Microbiology. She has worked as Assistant Professor in the Life Sciences Department Kristu Jayanti Autonomous College Bangalore for three years and has over five years of teaching experience as a Researcher scholar. She is a passionate researcher with over nine publications in National and International Journals.

Piyush has been a dedicated teacher of Mathematics and have been shaping minds for more than 14 years to ignite the curiosity and love for mathematics in his students. He has been a tech enthusiast with a B.Tech in ECE, MBA in IT, and an MSc in Mathematics. When he is off the blackboard, Piyush loves to be on the field, mastering cricket, basketball and pool.

Shagun has completed her Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Temple University with a Major in Accounting and Minors in Finance and MIS.  Shagun is an integral part of AP Guru - first as a tutor and now as a part of the management team.

Janvi is a literature and language enthusiast. She has a masters in English Literature and has completed her C2 level in Spanish. Alongside, she also has a Dele B2. She has a 3+ years of experience in teaching! She loves to use different instructional mediums  which cater to different types of students.

Isha is a graduate in Economics - Insurance Risk Management from Delhi University. She has also acquired her B.Ed degree. With more than 5 years of experience in teaching undergraduates, she also has mastered in Sociology. Added to these, she also has a masters degree in Political Science. She provides engaging lessons with real world examples to make the class and subject interesting for all her students.

Abhinav, a BTech graduate in electrical and electronics branch, is a seasoned physics tutor with over 8 years of teaching experience. He has been an alumni of Rajiv Gandhi Technical University Government Engineering College, Bhopal. Passionate about fostering a deep understanding of AP Physics, Abhinav employs innovative and effective teaching methods to inspire and guide students on their academic journey. His commitment to excellence has made him a trusted mentor in the realm of physics education.

Sohini has a master’s degree in Applied Psychology and Behavioural Sciences. She is a passionate teacher who has been actively teaching since the past 4 years. She is also a Psychologist by profession, and has been working on improving people’s mental health since 2021.

A Computer Science Engineering graduate from Indian Institute of Information Technology Kalyani, Ankur is a Software Developer by profession and a teacher by interest. He has 5+ years of teaching experience. With the willingness to explore the world of the coding and computer science together, Ankur is teaching and learning and building students for the future.

Daizy Arora is an Economics Educator with a passion for fostering a love of learning in her students. She has acquired her Master’s degree in business administration (MBA)  and Master degree in Economics, along with  Post Graduation Diploma in Financial Management and B.ED. She is a google certified education- level 1. And I am also a certified SME(Economics) with Oswal books. Along with being a PGT teacher for an International school, Daizy also has prepared students for various State and National level programmes like Young Tycoons Business Plan challenge, ECOM FORUM. Daizy strongly believes in tailoring lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of her students. She thinks that apart from teaching, it is essential to inspire the students to keep them on track.

Kaushal is a passionate and dedicated Mathematics teacher with 6 years of experience. He is an expert in teaching Mathematics for high school students of various boards including IB, and AP Calculus. He holds a Master's in Mathematics from IIT Kanpur and a Ph.D. in Mathematics from IIT(BHU) Varanasi. He has put his experiential knowledge for overall development of his students for competitive exams. He has mentored students to make the subject easy to understand and inculcated a belief in exploring various facets of Mathematics.

Deepshikha is a passionate educator with 11 years of experience who loves learning and is motivated to assist other learners in developing their abilities to be independent, express themselves eloquently, and become community leaders. She has experience of teaching in various countries namely the USA, India and Dubai, UAE. Besides being a facilitator, she is also a freelance Sports Journalist as well as Radio Jockey.

Dhyani, an empathetic counselling psychotherapist and a teacher, is passionate about guiding individuals to reach their fullest potential. With 4 years of experience and a degree in Counselling Psychology from SNDT University, Mumbai, she has dedicated herself to ongoing professional development, including research studies and advocacy to destigmatize mental health with a special interest in psycho education.

While working as a professional teacher from last 4 years, Mitesh has experience in teaching physics and mathematics to students from various segments. The challenge in developing skills for critical thinking and problem solving with students is what he enjoys the most. Mitesh has earned his Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute Of Technology And Science , Pilani . He has experience in teaching SAT , ACT mathematics and , IB SL and HL physics.

Koutheesh holds a Master of Engineering degree in Electronics from Anna University, complemented by a MBA in HR from Alagappa University. With over a decade of experience in the dynamic field of EduTech, Koutheesh has left an indelible mark as a versatile professional. His expertise spans various subjects, including C, C++, Java, Python, Data Structures and Algorithms, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AWS, and Spring Boot. Koutheesh's multifaceted career has seen him excel in roles such as Trainer, Technical Problem Setter, LMS Manager, and Senior Skill Development Engineer. He also excels in teaching Mathematics and Extended Maths to students preparing for SAT, ACT, IB, MYP, and AP. Grounded in Edutech, Koutheesh is passionate about empowering learners and shaping the future of education through innovative teaching methodologies and cutting-edge technologies.

Salomi is a multifaceted facilitator, a bibliophile, and a wordsmith. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Education as well as a Master's Degree in English Literature from University of Mumbai. She has 2 years of experience teaching the English language. She also has experience as a content writer creating blogs, composing poetry, and scrawling short stories. It is her love for literature and teaching that has brought her here. As an educator, she seeks to motivate and inculcate within her students enhanced communication skills so that her students are accomplished communicators and can face any situation with a problem-solving attitude.

Kajol is an avid reader and pop-culture fanatic, who holds a Master's as well as a Bachelor's Degree in English. She is fond of cataloging her thoughts on paper because of her passion for literature and writing. She has experience teaching IGCSE and AS Level; she loves imparting random facts about the English language and authors to her students. She encourages her students to face their problems head-on and tries to inculcate the love of language and literature in them.

Abhinav is a B-Tech graduate with a degree in Civil engineering. He was the topper of his department at IIT Kharagpur, and his name was displayed on the Prestigious Academicians list in the Civil Department, IIT Kharagpur. He was conferred with a silver and gold medal at IIT Kharagpur for his exceptional academic performance. He has experience of more than 5 years in teaching students Math and Physics across IB, MYP, AP, IGCSE, SAT, and ACT.

Dr. Preeti is PhD in Life Sciences from University of Kassel, Kassel, Germany. She has got German Research Fellowship for studying abroad. She has  10 years experience of teaching Biology  to students of different grades of State, National and International Boards.

Roshni is an Academic Quality Expert.

She is having 9 years of experience in education industry in Pan India.She holds a BCA, B.Ed ,M.Ed and MA(English) from Rani Durgavati Vishvidhyalaya Jabalpur (MP).

She has done her M.Sc(Physical chemistry special) frrom Jadavpur University. She has an experience of 1 year into research experience from  IACS(Kolkata).
She has been teaching for 5 years in colleges(assistant professor), international schools, Deeksha(iit-jee-neet-cet), and Physics Wallah (online, offline, YouTube, digital teaching). She has taught students appearing for IB, AP, IGCSE, GCSE exams and also students taking exams like Olympiads.
