Our story

It started with a Georgia Tech alum.

In 2011, Chirag Arya finished at Georgia Tech and started tutoring students on the side. What began as a few sessions turned into a small operation — three tutors, twelve students, and word-of-mouth referrals that wouldn't stop.

Within a year, informal sessions had turned into a small operation — and families across the US started noticing something different: this wasn't tutoring optimized for the company. It was tutoring optimized for the child.

Fifteen years later, AP Guru works with families across 50+ US high schools, has helped 15,000+ students achieve scores they didn't think were possible, and remains stubbornly independent — no investors, no franchise, no shortcuts.

From the first inquiry to exam day, one coordinator and one tutor own your child's progress. No handoffs, no "who's that?" emails, no being passed between departments. Continuity isn't a feature — it's the entire product.

A Digital SAT tutor doesn't teach AP Chemistry. An AP Calc BC specialist doesn't teach ACT English. Every tutor does one thing, deeply. The result: they recognize patterns from teaching the same exam 200+ times, not 10.
