Admission requirements at German universities

  1. A recognized qualification
    This will be a Bachelor degree certificate and other documentary evidence to prove that you have a bachelor’s degree
  2. Certified transcripts of your grades from previous education
    Transcripts from all the institutions that you have studied to confirm your grades and curriculum
  3. Proof of English Proficiency
    You will need to submit TOEFT or IELTS scores. The minimum acceptable TOEFL score is 80 or IELTS score of 6.5. 
  4. GRE/GMAT scores
    These scores are usually needed for economics and business-related programs. Aim for high scores to stand the best chance of being accepted
  5. Motivational Letter (Statement of Purpose)
    This will be your personalized statement of why you have chosen a particular field at a particular university 
  6. Reference letters
    Or letters of recommendation which will give the admissions office an idea of your aptitude and competence

Tuition fees are low in Germany when compared to other European and American universities. Besides, there are many ‘no-tuition fee’ degree programs also available and this is a big attraction for international students and makes studying at German universities a viable proposition.
